Temporary housing for insured households

After a fire, water or storm loss a household needs a temporary home fast. We house it in a furnished holiday apartment with a kitchen and give the claims handler everything needed to settle the claim.

Request accommodation

A home, not a hotel

Whole apartments with kitchen, washing machine and Wi-Fi. Linen, towels, electricity and heating are included.

One rate per night

A fixed market rate per night without meals, easy to check against the daily limit of the policy.

Online cost approval

The claims handler gets a case page with stays, costs to date and a forecast, and approves or extends costs there.

Monthly invoices

One invoice per month with claim number, policy number, damaged address and nights times rate.

Direct payment possible

If wanted, the household assigns its claim to us digitally. The assignment is notified to the insurer.

Flexible extensions

The stay runs until the home is habitable again. Extensions and an earlier end are possible at any time.

Frequently asked questions

What does contents insurance reimburse?
Most German contents policies pay hotel or similar accommodation without extras such as breakfast while the home is uninhabitable. Daily limit and maximum duration are in the policy.
Who receives the invoice?
The invoice is addressed to the insured person living in the apartment. If the insurer pays directly, this is stated on the invoice with the claim number.
What about VAT and registration?
Accommodation of up to six months is short-term lodging at the reduced VAT rate. German guests need no registration form; registering an address is only required after six months.
What if restoration takes longer?
We extend as long as the apartment is free. If an existing booking is in the way, we propose another of our apartments for the meantime.
