Frequently asked questions

Does insurance pay for a holiday apartment?
Many German contents policies (Hausrat) pay hotel costs or similar accommodation while the home is uninhabitable. Daily limit and maximum duration are in your policy terms. For a family, a furnished apartment is often cheaper than a hotel. Best ask your claims handler first, we send you a confirmation with rate and period to forward.
How fast can we move in?
If an apartment is free, the next day. The door opens with a code, no key handover.
What is included?
The whole apartment with furniture, kitchen, washing machine, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels. What applies to utilities is listed with the monthly price of each apartment.
Who gets the invoice?
The invoice is made out to the insured household and carries the claim number. If you assigned your claim to us, we send it to the insurer directly.
What if the repairs take longer?
Then we extend. If you like, we hold the following month until the insurer has decided.
